So we headed out for another guided tour of Florence this
morning. It was ridiculously hot once again. Today we got to see the real
marble Statue of David by Michelangelo. The detail is exquisite - veins in the arms, tendons behind the knee, facial features, etc.

Our guide explained all the history of
buildings & churches before we had 3 hours to explore independently. 3
hours was way too long to be out in the sun in the middle of the day.

We went back to the coach at 1:30 & departed for Rome.
We arrived in Rome about 5:30pm. Once again we had a guided tour before heading
to the hotel.
We got to the hotel about 7:30 pm. Dinner was scheduled for 8:30
which is rather late to be eating a large 3 course meal.
Hmmmmm that's not what my David looks like.... *wink wink*
