Passau/Linz 6 August

This morning we departed the Emerald Star and boarded a bus to take us to Passau.

Stranded river boats as far as the eye can see in both directions.

 It took about 2 hours to get there travelling on the Autobahn. Our guides travelled on the bus with us. When we arrived in Passau we did a walking tour to St Stephens Cathedral.

We sat & listened to an organ recital for 30 minutes before walking down to the restaurant where we were to have our lunch. It was another extremely hot day – 36C.

After an hour to explore some more of this pretty town we boarded the bus at 3:30pm to continue to Linz where we boarded the Emerald Sky to continue our river cruise. Our bags were in the cabin waiting so unpacked & relaxed for an hour or so before we had a buffet dinner as it was an embarkation day. We sailed out of Linz at 9:45.
