Paris 12 July

Today was a quiet day for us as we chose not to do one of the optional tours. We ate a leisurely breakfast and relaxed a bit before leaving the hotel about 10:00am to go for a walk along the canal.

We were lucky enough to see some boats making use of the lochs. It was interesting to watch the process.

We proceeded further on before turning down a side street to head back to the hotel. We got back about 12:00 noon. I put my feet up for a while as they are still swelling as are my hands now.

At 2:30pm we went for another walk to try to find a souvenir shop. Nothing is open from Saturday afternoon or Sunday as it is summer holidays. We eventually found a little shop & got a couple of things then walked back to the hotel arriving about 4:00pm.

 

Time now to pack the suitcases as tomorrow we head off on the coach trip to Lyon.
