Plymouth 1 September

We left the hotel at 8:00 heading to Bath about 2 hours away. The coach dropped us off and we walked a short distance to see the Roman Baths. This was a very interesting place that we could explore at our own pace.

We finished about 11:30 and then went for a quick walk around town before getting back on the coach at 12:00. Our next point of call was Blackmore Farmhouse for our ‘We Greet You’ lunch/dinner. After a short introduction while we had canapes and some of the local drinks we split into 2 groups for a tour of the farmhouse which is being restored to its original glory.

Following the tour we were treated to a delicious meal of Roast Beef or Pork, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, carrots, broccoli & cauliflower cheese. Following this we were treated to delicious homemade desserts – Bread & Butter pudding straight out of the oven, pavlova, trifle, ice-cream & strawberries. No dinner needed tonight. We left the farm and continued on to Plymouth where we spend the next 2 nights.
